My Horror Mood Board.
My horror mood board contains images of what I believe makes a good horror film. Scary clowns, masks, long, dark-haired girls, blood etc. are all conventions within the horror genre that scare me when watching a film. As you can see, I feel the fear of the 'unknown' such as people in masks (not knowing what is behind those masks) makes me feel on edge and tense. Young girls give me a creepy feeling and I feel this is because little girls are supposed to be seen as being innocent. However, in horror films, this is totally contrasted where they become evil. In terms of location, I feel that long, empty corridors in hotels have a thrilling atmosphere and is demonstrated in the film, The Shining. Also, the woods and haunted houses have a chilling feel where it is isolated and quiet.
